Last month, the Prancing Horse’s first ever four-door
four-seater car was unveiled.
The Purosangue is unlike any other and is equipped with
Maranello’s iconic naturally-aspirated V12 which can unleash a whopping 725cv. With
a 0-100km/h of 3.3 seconds, this SUV style vehicle competes with the likes of
other sportier models.
Ferrari continues to deliver a beautiful soundtrack with
this model and boasts a mid-front-mounted engine with the gearbox at the rear which
creates a sporty transaxle layout. This, alongside the Power Transfer Unit
being coupled in front of the engine, allows the car to deliver exactly the
49:51% weight distribution that our Maranello engineers deem optimal for a
mid-front-engined sports car.
The Purosangue has a carbon-fibre roof as standard to keep
the weight down and lower the centre of gravity. The designers redesigned the
bodyshell from scratch meaning they could incorporate rear-hinged back doors
making getting in and out of the car much easier whilst keeping the car
compact. All four of the seats in the Purosangue are heated electric seats and the
car also boasts the largest boot ever seen on a Ferrari with the rear seats
being made foldable to increase the space even more.
Graypaul Birmingham can’t wait for the official UK launch in
December and are excited to see the unveiling of this extraordinary car.
