Half Year Events Round Up

Half Year Round Up

After reaching the midpoint for the year, here at Graypaul Birmingham Ferrari, we are reflecting on all the amazing events we have taken our clients to. From customers gaining their national racing license to attending the national launch of the 296 GTS in London, we have continued to surprise and delight our customers through showing them the luxury and excitement that is Ferrari.

We kicked off an amazing half year of events in February with our 296 GTB preview. We held a secret meet at Henry’s Car Barn for the reveal. Guests were invited throughout the day with a breakfast meet, afternoon tea and cocktails with canapés in the exclusive clubhouse at the Car Barn. Our customers were wowed as the 296 GTB was unveiled. Guests were also invited to drive the Roma and the Portofino M around the idyllic country roads of the secret location.

February also saw our first Ready to Race in which customers can obtain their ARDS license. To achieve this, clients drove around the track at Brands Hatch and put their skills to the test. One of customers passed all his tests and is looking forward to the potential of joining our team of Challenge Drivers next season!

In March, we took our clients to Millbrook Proving Ground where they were able to test drive both SF90s and Romas. They tested the cars both on the road and on the top-secret testing track. Millbrook is famous for being one of the filming sites of James Bond: Casino Royale and various Top Gear challenges. Customers were able to feel the thrill and the action of the cars as they raced them around different areas such as the high speed bowl!

The 2022 season of The Ferrari Challenge started in May at Oulton Park. Graypaul Birmingham came out victorious with Paul Simmerson taking his first victory of the Coppa Shell season and Lucky Khera taking two victories throughout the weekend in the Trofeo Pirelli. Customers were invited to come and watch the race as well as being able to test drive Romas on the local roads and the test track.

May continued with various amazing events which included returning to Millbrook for clients to drive Romas and SF90s, taking clients over to Varano in Italy to drive the 296 GTB and the SF90 and attending The Challenge weekend in Snetterton.

June continued being as eventful as the month before. We kicked off an amazing month with an event with Supercar Driver where attendees were able to drive our 296 GTB and Roma demonstrators. Putting on a beautiful breakfast display courtesy of Dining by Dalton, customers were able to take in the amazing cars we have in our showroom after driving the demonstrators around the local Solihull roads.

The 296 GTS launch was the biggest event we have seen since the pandemic began. We took clients down to the gorgeous location of Magazine London where we hosted a red carpet event with a range of beverages and authentic Italian cuisine before Ferrari North Europe unveiled the 296 GTS to an excited audience.  We saw two models of the new car, one of which had the luxurious Assetto Fiorano package on it, allowing our clients to see the level of spec that can be brought to the already out-standing car.

Goodwood Festival of Speed returned for another year in the first half of 2022. Ferrari hosted the highest level of hospitality on the corner of the hill climb, allowing customers to take in all the action whilst enjoying the amazing range of food and drink on offer. Clients were invited to test drive the Roma and the 296 GTB also, adding to an already incredible day out.

The final Challenge weekend of the half year was at Donington Park. Our driver Lucky Khera immediately set the pace for the weekend by getting the fastest lap time of 1:06.620 early in the session. Race 1 on the Saturday saw Lucky bring home the Trofeo Pirelli after finishing P1. In the Coppa Shell, Paul Simmerson battled it out and he jumped onto Sunday’s podium with a P3 finish. Customers were also able to test drive the cars again on road and track and saw the amazing composition of technology that is the 296 GTB and SF90!

Here at Graypaul Birmingham, the most important thing for us is to consistently bring joy to our customers and to show them the love and fast paced nature of being in the Ferrari family. We can’t wait to see what the second half of 2022 holds. Contact the team for any enquiries on 0121 701 2458
